“I see my path, but I don't know where it leads. Not knowing where I'm going is what inspires me to travel it.” - Rosalia de Castro

SO first of all I can't even believe everyone has been still reading my blog so faithfully..
Despite my absence.
It made me happy.. Thanks guys for always caring.
:)

Second of all, these last few weeks have been adventure after adventure to say the least..
so I am going to be blogging about each one separately so I can share all of the excitement that I have been blessed enough to feel lately!

So I didn't really feel married until the night after we were actually married,
when Blake and I set off on our own to Utah to start our honeymoon.
That night he checked into our hotel just like my dad would do.. and then.. we were alone.. just us.. in the big ol' Salt Lake City.
It was scary.. and really awesome.
haha

Then after that.. life was one big traveling awesome sight seeing tour.
Just me and my HUSBAND.

We were all over the place.. and wanted to take pictures of all of the states that we went to but some of the signs were on sides of [REALLY] big scary roads..
So.. we took a picture of Arizona.
& figured that was pretty much like taking a picture of all of the signs..
haha
But really.. I think this day we went through Utah, Arizona, and then Nevada..

Since for our honeymoon we went on a cruise to Mexico we decided it would be fun to drive to California [where we left from]
& to add a couple of days to our trip..

And what extended honeymoon is complete without a trip to Las Vegas?!
:)
Blake and I got a really good deal and ended up getting to stay in the Stratosphere.
& then when we told the receptionist we had just gotten married,
she upgraded our room to the VERY top floor of the Stratosphere!
We decided for the next year we are going to tell everyone we are "just married"
Helllo.. awesome year of good hotel rooms.

Blake hadn't been to Las Vegas since he was little so it was fun to show him around and getting to see everything again for myself.

Even if you don't drink and gamble..
[and as long as you don't look at the ground of course..]
I think Las Vegas is just a fun place to be and to see every once in a while.

We had our first Rainforest Cafe experience..

& since we had been planning on going to the Mayan in Salt Lake
but were informed that it had been shut down!
This was a pretty awesome alternative..

[Are you wondering if that cut on my face is from me hitting MYSELF in the face with my car door..
the DAY we left for Salt Lake for the wedding..
Because.. yeah.. that might have been what it's from.. just if you were wondering.]

There was a lot to see in the restaraunt and it kind of reminded me of Disney Land..
The food is a little over priced..
The atmosphere is really awesome.

& of course we had to go to my probably personal favorite store in Las Vegas..

& Blake loved it too.. just like a good husband would.
We had soo much fun exploring and playing around with all of the different M&Ms!

I don't think you ever get too old for candy.
:)

& Then we just explored..

& explored..

& explored..

Until the wee hours of the morning when we couldn't explore anymore..
& I have a horrible story!
Once we were completely exhausted we got on the bus and fell asleep..
Only to be woken up..
and kicked off of the bus on the oposite end of town
from where we were trying to go..
SO then we had to wait another at least half an hour at this dark shady secluded bus stop to get on the right bus!

& we finally we got back to our awesome hotel room at 4 in the morning..
Then we got a full nights sleep of 3 or 4 hours so we of course were well rested to drive to California.

& then being the responsible married adults now we also had a good breakfast to keep us going.
:)

We are still adjusting to this responsible married thing..

I hope everyone had a good weekend!
Happy Monday..
I'll try and blog about California and the start of the cruise tomorrow.

Love you guys.

  1. YAY!! I'm so happy to hear from you! I'm glad everything went well, despite a couple bumps along the way. How fun that you got such a FULL honeymoon and made a vacation out of the trip TO the honeymoon! You will have great memories; Mitch and I had a perfect honeymoon and love thinking back on it. I can't wait to hear about all your adventures this summer; aren't you headed to the east coast?

PS--NO ONE feels married until after the first night :o) But it is awesome!
