& Today I Became Best Friends With a Turkey

Seriously there is nothing in the Fall time better than going to the Pumpkin Patch..

[Or blogging about the pumpkin patch nigh unto December.. am I right?]

Except maybe getting to go to the pumpkin patch with your favorite friends..

These are our dear friends Kelly and Adam, they are quite literally some of the funniest people I have ever been blessed to meet.

It seems like no matter what we are doing we always come home after our dates with my stomach hurting and talking about how much fun we had.

AND this date became especially special when I was able to also  become best friends with pet a real live Turkey!

Yeah..In my world I think that really takes the cake.

The last time I saw a live Turkey it was literally chasing me around a field while I was yelling back at it how it didn't understand the food chain.
SO when I saw this Turkey I was a little shook up from my [over two years ago] last turkey experience and I was a little wary of this bird.

But before I knew we had warmed up to each other it I was ready to take this bird home..
Blake and I seem to attract stray animals.. what do you think that even mean?

Maybe that we have exerted some great self control not having a pet yet? Or maybe that I am full of pet laziness?
:)

Anyway.. once I got over my weird Turkey obsession moment..
We were able to focus on the real reason we were at this pumpkin patch..
To Find The BIGGEST and greatest pumpkins in the whole PATCH.

To find the GREAT PUMPKIN.

& You know what.. ladies and gentlemen I think these pumpkins exceeded my expectations..
We found FOUR great [BIG, HUGE] pumpkins,

[Blake showed off one of his many talents.. Balancing on the cart with the Pumpkins.. what a dare devil.]

Kelly and Adam found a pumpkin SNOWMAN,
[& that is why of course it makes sense to blog about this before Christmas]

We found Albino Pumpkins,

And warted pumpkins..
[pumpkin/gourd same thing right?]
Kelly was trying to convince the worker that the squash was of course a pumpkin since we were in a pumpkin patch
... so that night.. we went with it.. everything was a pumpkin.

Oh yeah and did I say that I got over my weird Turkey obsession.?
[I think I was lying joking..]
I just could not stop being such a Turkey hog I'm sorry Kelly and Adam I interrupted your sweet Turkey moment and didn't even realize it!
[Someone get me away from that disease holding bird.. what is wrong with me..]

But anyway..
After our cute pumpkin adventure and all of our findings Kelly and Adam were so sweet and made us gourmet dinner and we taught them what passing the pigs is all about...
[& if anyone else has any questions about how great pass the pigs is I'm sure Blake would just love to give a preview of how into that game you can get..]
haha
:)
Thanks for being such fun dates/friends guys.. we love you and are so grateful that you keep agreeing to go out with us and making us laugh.
Life just wouldn't be as fun without you.

Okay everyone.. well now that life is like OVER..
What do you say we blog about it?
:)
I can't even believe how crazy life has been and how fast it's been going..
& Oh yeah.. how I have really hardly had time for anything other than COLLEGE.. [aka homework]

However can I make an exciting announcment...
IN seriously.. LESS THAN 3 weeks I will be done with my Bachelor Degree..
For. Ev. Er.

& That.. makes me so happy that I almost forget about my life that this Degree has taken away..
Because I am [hopefully] getting it back. haha

Okay so I totally realize that it is basically Christmas but here is some justifying on my part.. I still have Fall memories and fun things that I haven't had time to share and document..

SO I am giving myself this week to get caught up and then..
I promise I'm moving on to the most wonderful time of the year.

So remember how the leaves started changing ages ago?!

Well a family yearly tradition growing up is during the Fall, when the leaves are changing, we pack up the family and we take a drive and look at appreciate the leaves..

We also HAVE to collect pretty ones on the way..

So this year I packed up my two favorite boys..
& Continued on the tradition..

Last year at the fair I was informed that Square Ice Cream was actually BETTER than regular ice cream.. and that the place around here was FAMOUS.
[Little known to me.. but let me tell you they are right it is prettty good.]

We strategically planned our trip so that we would pass by this World Famous Square Ice Cream and get to take my sweet brother to try it!
[oh man.. I sure bet he felt lucky..]

I love these boys.
It has been sooo nice to have Mitchell up here in Idaho this semester, it's hard being so far away from family.. he has definitely helped make it feel more like home.

Then after our sweet pit stop.. we continued our search for the perfect leaves.
Unfortunately the leaves that I decided were PERFECT were protected by a gate, field, and killer horses.

Are you wondering if that stopped us?
Oh no.. these guys are troopers. haha

Yes. Mitch is Allergic to Horses..
What the heck these horses think they are doing I don't know..

But don't worry we showed them who's boss..

And naturally they were following us around everywhere..
Because I guess that's what happens after you show someone who's boss.

But these leaves.. totally worth jumping a gate and running a pasture to get to.. right?
There is no place like the Mountains.

Obviously.. of course to no one's suprise.. they were having the time of their lives collecting leaves.
:)

But really..

& It only took a little bit of negotiating and those vicous horses let us out alive thank goodness.
Leaf looking was definitely a success this year.

I absolutely love these two.
They make me laugh until my stomach hurts and everything is always a hundred times more fun with the both of them.

And I am just SO glad that Mitchell is up here! I am so sad that the semester is almost over for the sole fact that that means no more school with my cute brother.
Mitchy I am going to miss you everyday.
[LOVE  you.]

So moral of this leafy fall time blog..
Fall is wonderful.
[But you all know that because you all experienced it since it is um over..]
I also want to assure my loved ones that I have not forgotten out of them just because I have been horrible and left everyone so out of the loop.

I really love you all. And I hope that life has been a little less busy for all of you than it has been over here..
I hope everyone is doing great & hopefully I will be enlightening you all this week through my catching up.

Thanks for being such patient sweet friends.
Happy Monday!

The Big Twenty-TWO

Where in the world is time going?!
Fortunately as much as it is getting less and less fun to age..
Birthdays are just one of my favorite things.

And I think that is only because I have such wonderful sweet people who really go the extra mile to make it special and make me feel loved.

I feel like I can't say Thank You enough everyone! My Birthday was absolutely PERFECT this year and I pray that at some time in your lives I can make you all feel as loved as I have felt from you..

I felt like my Birthday lasted forever this go around..
Starting last Saturday..

When my sweet old roommates and friends threw me the cutest Birthday/Halloween Party!
:)

[YES. it is already snowing here..]

Blake and I went as an "Elderly" Couple because I thought that it would be fun to have pictures of us dressed up old when we really are old..
& Because as I watched Blake eat his celery [yes.. I hate celery.. but it seemed like a cute 80 year old thing to do] and fixed his cute little bow tie I knew we were supposed to be old together..
I love you sweetheart.

& We won SECOND place in the costume contest!
[They knew how to make OUR night..]

This is actually my other cute roommate and her new husband.. who won FIRST.. and got quite a bit of grief from us..
But I have to admit their costumes were cute
[& ORIGINAL.. that.. is the point that won them, and lost us the game haha..]

They are a camper and a roasting marshmellow!
:)

Our DELICIOUS tombstone/graveyard cake made by Elana..
[You may not believe this.. but I have to throw it out there.. this whole graveyard creepy Halloween theme is more common on my Birthday than it isn't.. weird.. I know.. haha my family even celebrates "Haileyween"]

Then Sunday my Bingham Family threw me a sweet party..
Complete with DELICIOUS dinner & cake..

Cute Presents..

OF COURSE.. pickles!

& Some good ol' Family Pumpkin Carving..
[I LOVE you guys so much!]

Then Tuesday my "Birthday Eve" Aubrey and Justin and Dave and Gaby whom I am vowing to get more pictures of..
Came over bringing presents, candy, cookies, and good company to cheer me up from one ROUGH day at school..
Just because they are great friends.

& FINALLY on my ACTUAL Birthday.. Blake woke me up with Flowers & Breakfast in bed..

[Please ignore the awesome picture of me just waking up.. grosss]

& My cute Aubrey taped all of these BALLOONS in a bag covering our door so they fell on me first thing in the morning..

I felt like I had just won the Lottery.
:)

Then Blake and My Family SPOILED me to death with Presents..
[But once again.. right when I got out of bed.. not cute.. so just use your imagination.. they were nice]

And after I got all of my schooling done for the day we got to go spend $400 dollars of giftcards on House Stuff..
Yes. That is my kind of heaven.. what a sweet good sport of a husband through all of these pots and pan, hand mixers, salad spinners, waffle makers.. and good things..

And once we got home from our long day of school and shopping adventures we did something I'd wanted to forever..
Made DINNER IN A PUMPKIN..
yum.
[HERE is the link if you want to try it yourselves!]

Then.. My brother came over and my CUTE family skyped for an hour and a half.
:)
[I will say.. that I wish everyone I loved lived all together.. I really was missing some good friends and family through all of this.]

& Since I was exhausted all partied out Blake got me my favorite Halloween movie, Sixth Sense and let us relax and pass out candy
[oh.. and pig out on ice cream.. and you wonder why married people gain weight.. eugh.]
for the rest of the night..

Guys.. Heres to Another Year Just Like the Last One.
I wouldn't change a thing.

Thank you for the sweet cards, texts, facebook messages, presents, hugs, and everything else.
You guys really have melted my heart and made me feel like a princess today.
THANK YOU.. for being more than I could ever ask for..
I pray that someday you'll know how much it means to me, how much I LOVE you, and I can make you feel even a little part of how you all make me feel..

Growing Older isn't so bad with the right people beside you.

I LOVE YOU GUYS.

Happy Halloween.. I hope you all had a great one!
