“I see my path, but I don't know where it leads. Not knowing where I'm going is what inspires me to travel it.” - Rosalia de Castro

SO first of all I can't even believe everyone has been still reading my blog so faithfully..
Despite my absence.
It made me happy.. Thanks guys for always caring.
:)

Second of all, these last few weeks have been adventure after adventure to say the least..
so I am going to be blogging about each one separately so I can share all of the excitement that I have been blessed enough to feel lately!

So I didn't really feel married until the night after we were actually married,
when Blake and I set off on our own to Utah to start our honeymoon.
That night he checked into our hotel just like my dad would do.. and then.. we were alone.. just us.. in the big ol' Salt Lake City.
It was scary.. and really awesome.
haha

Then after that.. life was one big traveling awesome sight seeing tour.
Just me and my HUSBAND.

We were all over the place.. and wanted to take pictures of all of the states that we went to but some of the signs were on sides of [REALLY] big scary roads..
So.. we took a picture of Arizona.
& figured that was pretty much like taking a picture of all of the signs..
haha
But really.. I think this day we went through Utah, Arizona, and then Nevada..

Since for our honeymoon we went on a cruise to Mexico we decided it would be fun to drive to California [where we left from]
& to add a couple of days to our trip..

And what extended honeymoon is complete without a trip to Las Vegas?!
:)
Blake and I got a really good deal and ended up getting to stay in the Stratosphere.
& then when we told the receptionist we had just gotten married,
she upgraded our room to the VERY top floor of the Stratosphere!
We decided for the next year we are going to tell everyone we are "just married"
Helllo.. awesome year of good hotel rooms.

Blake hadn't been to Las Vegas since he was little so it was fun to show him around and getting to see everything again for myself.

Even if you don't drink and gamble..
[and as long as you don't look at the ground of course..]
I think Las Vegas is just a fun place to be and to see every once in a while.

We had our first Rainforest Cafe experience..

& since we had been planning on going to the Mayan in Salt Lake
but were informed that it had been shut down!
This was a pretty awesome alternative..

[Are you wondering if that cut on my face is from me hitting MYSELF in the face with my car door..
the DAY we left for Salt Lake for the wedding..
Because.. yeah.. that might have been what it's from.. just if you were wondering.]

There was a lot to see in the restaraunt and it kind of reminded me of Disney Land..
The food is a little over priced..
The atmosphere is really awesome.

& of course we had to go to my probably personal favorite store in Las Vegas..

& Blake loved it too.. just like a good husband would.
We had soo much fun exploring and playing around with all of the different M&Ms!

I don't think you ever get too old for candy.
:)

& Then we just explored..

& explored..

& explored..

Until the wee hours of the morning when we couldn't explore anymore..
& I have a horrible story!
Once we were completely exhausted we got on the bus and fell asleep..
Only to be woken up..
and kicked off of the bus on the oposite end of town
from where we were trying to go..
SO then we had to wait another at least half an hour at this dark shady secluded bus stop to get on the right bus!

& we finally we got back to our awesome hotel room at 4 in the morning..
Then we got a full nights sleep of 3 or 4 hours so we of course were well rested to drive to California.

& then being the responsible married adults now we also had a good breakfast to keep us going.
:)

We are still adjusting to this responsible married thing..

I hope everyone had a good weekend!
Happy Monday..
I'll try and blog about California and the start of the cruise tomorrow.

Love you guys.

You make me happier than I ever thought I could be and if you let me I will spend the rest of my life trying to make you feel the same way.

Okay everyone I'm sorry everything has been.. crazy and moving a million miles an hour and just one big blur this last few weeks..

April 19th 2012 I married my best friend in the Salt Lake Temple for time and all eternity.

& it was definitely the best day of my life.
Everything was perfect.
[Thanks a ton to everyone who helped with everything.. My whole heart is grateful to you.]
:)

[Picture credit to my sweet little brother Mitchy.. :)
I haven't been able to sort through all of our wedding pictures yet so those are on their way..]

For our Idaho reception we had it in a hotel lobby that has destination rooms that are seriously just awesome.
So..
[after just a little bit of begging.. and pleading.. and big eyes]

Blake and I basically got to stay in Thailand..
:)

So right now Blake and I are living in NEW JERSEY..
& our apartment definitely doesn't have internet..
[or tv.. or pretty much connection to the outside world.. haha jk... kind of]
Hence the disappearance from the world.

But things are finally starting to settle down so I will be sharing all of our adventures with you guys very soon..

Also to everyone in Farmington our reception is May 26th
[So I hope you don't feel like you've missed everything!
& if anyone didn't get an invitation we are sorry we really tried but everything has been crazy..
so you guys are all invited.
I'll post more details later or you can just call or email me.
I hope everyone can make it!

Thanks again to all the great people in my life.
I love you all very much.
Have a wonderful Thursday.

All I have seen teaches me to trust the creator for all I have not seen. -Ralph Waldo Emerson

Finally after finals, traveling home, & some more wedding planning/organizing..
I am here to briefly update everyone.
[& on that note.. I'm sorry that my blogs have been a lot of just keeping everyone up to date with what's going on and no fun recipes or ideas or anything anyone can use with their life..
After the wedding when life slows down I'll try hard to do better]

So first thing I feel is worth mentioning..

I won our March Madness bracket competition..
[all the other candy I won is hiding in this picture.. but lets just say Blake & I are set for our road trip:) ]
& let me tell you why this is needing to be mentioned,
because I may or may not have watched a single basketball season..
or last season..
or the season before..
or pretty much ever unless I get to go see them in person.

So am I the most deserving?
Probably not..
The most fortunate?
Well sometimes you just get lucky.
:)
Next thing in my life that is blog worthy according to Hailey?

Admit it.. This is kind of funny.
:)
Someone at my school is kind of funny.
[Thank you Elisheva for finding this.. perfect surprise for finals week]

Thirdly..
This could definitely be worse.

My Business Teacher hates me..
Which explains the dang B..
But you win some you lose some.. & with everything that's been going on.. I'll take it.

 FOURTH..

I FINALLY got my business finance internship in New Jersey..
Over here..

& although I am slightly nervous..
I am also SO excited to get to go on an adventure with my best friend.
& I am SO happy and relieved and
grateful
for this internship..
I really needed it to graduate so.
what a blessing.

So while I'm experiencing culture shock.. & learning to live outside of a desert..
I'll be missing everyone.

[& you'll be hearing lots of adventures]

& Fifthly,
[Which is probably too many points for a short update]
I was the worst at taking pictures for Easter..
[& basically at doing anything that's not wedding related this last week unfortunately]

But I hope you all got to celebrate your Savior
& new life and the opportunity that forgiveness and Christ has given you..

oh yeah,
and last point..

My sister is cute.
:)

I've enjoyed getting to be home with my family in this last minute wedding preparation blitz..
I love my family more than I can say,
& am grateful for everything that my family "in laws" are doing that make it possible for me to be home right now before Blake & I get married.

Also if you haven't gotten an invitation yet and you are from Farmington,
We just barely sent them out since the Reception is at the end of May..
So don't feel left out they are coming!
& if you aren't from Farmington and feel like we didn't get you one send me an email with your address & we will make sure you're officially invited!
[woo09018@byui.edu]

I  love you all & hope that your week has been slightly less stressful than mine.
:)
All of the wedding stuff will come soon.. prepare yourself.

Conference Weekend.

So this last weekend was General Conference
[if anyone remembers our journey to Salt Lake last October for a church conference, this is the second one they have of the year]
& of course it was wonderful..
[even if we had to watch this one broadcasted..]

Our Prophet, President Monson, shared a message about the race of life that really stuck out to me.

“In our zeal, let us not overlook the sage counsel from Ecclesiastes: ‘The race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong’ (Ecclesiastes 9:11). Actually, the prize belongs to him who endures to the end.”

“In this fast-paced life, do we ever pause for moments of meditation—even thoughts of timeless truths?”
-President Thomas S. Monson

Life gets so fast paced that it is easy to lose sight of what really matters.
If you want to be uplifted you can read some of the conference talks..
:)

Then between sessions I was reminded that I am definitely
marrying myself an Idaho Boy.
haha

Something that I really love about Blake is that he is so darn fun.
He drags me off of the couch and makes me go out and DO things.. that I am so grateful for..
[after he gets me up of course..]

My sweet fiance took me four wheeling and gave me a tour of what he grew up doing..

& while he may be a little more adventurous in his endeavors than me..
[I couldn't even get pictures of the really intense hills because I was terrified of losing my phone]

It was really fun and nice to spend some scary relaxing time with just the two of us
before finals week and the hectic wedding festivities begin.

I hope you guys enjoyed your conference weekends as well
& were able to be inspired and motivated by the great men giving us direction.

This week I will be crying over have finals week..
[& still school work because my dear school likes to cram everything together to shorten our semesters]
So things might be a little hectic as I'm attempting to pass school and packing my life away.

But when it's all over I will be back.
I love you guys..
& hope you had a great Monday.

oh. yeah. & tomorrow will be 16 days.
:)

Bridal Shower Bonanza

So this past week I really have felt so blessed to have my "family to be"
& the friends that I have up here with me.

It was so sweet the work they went to to make my bridal showers special.
& with my family and friends that I grew up with being so far away it made me sad that they couldn't be there..
but it really meant a lot to me that I have the wonderful people that I do in my life still trying to make it a positive experience.

It really turned out SO cute.
Thank you to everyone who came & contributed..
You all are the best.

So.. now..
Something that I learned about Bridal Showers?
People dress you up in things that you wouldn't normally choose to be dressed up in..
[oh.. wrapping paper, ribbon, tissue paper, TOILET paper..]
The joys of getting married.
:)

& these are my sweet sisters to be..

& Bridesmaids of course.
I love you guys.

& then there is..
Bridal Shower take #2

Que.. Wrapping.

& just a warning..
The following [and previous] post contains WAY more pictures of me than anyone probably ever wanted to see..
[I guess when you aren't the one taking pictures you don't get them of everyone else.. note to self]
haha if that scares you..
 I wouldn't proceed
:)

They mummified me alive!
& then proceeded to have me keep it on for most of the party..
It was good practice for the suffocating I will be doing in my wedding dress is I guess what they were thinking..

I also received presents that I definitely never have gotten for a birthday before..
This is Shelby's drawing of her present..
If you can't see it..
it's not you.
There wasn't much there.
:)

Elana.. yes.. Shelby made me open your gift.
In fronnnt of evvveryone.
:)
ah.
haha I love you.

It was quite the experience.
Thanks everyone I love you SO much.
& to all of my loved ones that weren't there..
I hope you know how much I miss you and wish that you would have been.
I love you guys & know you would have been there if you could have.
:)

I hope everyone is having a great conference weekend.

oh.. and..

[This was from yesterday..so..]

EIGHTEEN DAYS.
:)
