"All men are by nature equal, made all of the same earth by one Workman; and however we decieve ourselves, as dear unto God is the poor peasant as the mighty prince." -Plato

I'm back in the Land of Enchantment!
Since my school does things a little differently and we have "tri" mesters instead of semesters I don't start school again until the end of April so i'm back home just enjoying time with the family :)

So since I haven't blogged in a little bit...
to catch up on the last couple weeks...

Blake saw his first 3D movie in theaters! :)
or at least I saw it for him... haha he might have been a little tired.
[did I really take a picture in the movie theaters you might ask.. oh yes.. yes I did.. and everyone around us just thought that I was the greatest thing ever I'm sure.]

We've started practicing for spring rock climbing when we get to go on real rocks!
:)

We had a G's Dairy adventure...

This is the most awesome ice cream parlor I've ever seen!
The people who own it make their own ice cream from the milk they get at their dairy farm.. and it is amazing!

& there was definitely some celebrating the Girl Scout Cookie Season! :)
both in New Mexico & Idaho..

Girl Scouts you are my favorite! I will always buy your cookies.. so don't ever stop selling them!
[& how cute are these girls.. I wish everyone was as enthusiastic about getting their picture taken!]

also.. something I stumbled across while I probably should have been doing homework

Something I feel like everyone should have is a Bucket List! I thinks it's just a fun way of writing out your goals.. & I know that I feel accomplished when I get to mark things off of mine.
So everyone should check it out!

I hope everyone is having a fantastic Tuesday Morning!

"Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier." -Mother Teresa

So FIRST of all... I took this picture and loved it because its so fitting for my life.. this boy makes me SO happy.
 :)
& then I was thinking and I realized I hadn't introduced Blake to everyone at home!
So I thought I would do that really fast..
This is my cute boyfriend/best friend
He's from Idaho Falls, Idaho & he's going to school to be an optometrist..
which = ALOT of school. So that will = ALOT of fun.
He's one of the most fun sweet people I've ever met..
He's my Return Missionary & he loves God..& when you get to know him that's really obvious. & i love that about him.
He treats me like a princess [ & he even carries me like one when I don't want to walk on the ice and through the snow]
My first encounter with him was when he was running through my friends house shooting water guns in my face...& everyone elses in the world {how sweet is that haha}
:)
we've been dating for 4 1/2 months now! which I'm just as surprised about as anyone.. if you know me very well you know that I'm not the best relationship person in the world!
But this one is different & time has just flown by...
& I love him very very much.

k so on to this week!
So you know those weeks when lots of just wonderful things happen...
its been one of those weeks...
There was a very stuck car...
& don't worry it was really warm outside while we were getting it unstuck...
[as you can see I had a large contribution to fixing the problem... haha I'm sure they loved the fact that I was taking pictures in the distance.. ]

& there was a very dead battery that we had the privilege of  waiting all day to get to...

& there was a sick throwing up Hailey... [gross.gross.gross.]

& then everything got better... :)
I asked Blake to take a sick picture with me and he started making deep throated gagging noises and as you can see... really cute faces. haha oh boy. I am one lucky girl.

This past weekend Blake took me with him to get a fish! & they were just SO pretty I decided I needed one too! So we got TWO beta fishes! The one on the left that is purply/blue is Calypso and it is mine :) and the one on the right that is bright red is Zeus and it's Blakes..

[it hates my fish if you were wondering why it was puffed up like that.. don't worry...]

Yay for our first beautiful pets! :)
You can really only get so creative in college with pets when you're renting apartments and moving around all the time..

Now for those of you who know anything about Beta's know that even though they are Beauuutifulll... they are SO mean and kill everything! Including each other! So even though we would like them to be friends they  had to have a divider in the middle of their tanks... :)
Maybe someday they will be friends.. but as for now they just puff up whenever they see each other.. so they won't be play mates until they get over their angry fish problems..

& then to my surprise when we got to Blake's house all of his roommates had fish too! So now.. we have one big fish party going on on there table!
how wonderful. now lets hope we can all keep them alive!
:)
Then last night my house and some of our guys friends that we go to church with went on my THIRD ice skating adventure!
Yup.. i'm getting to be a regular now a days. :)
Luckily Kelly held my hand the whole time and we were getting pretty pro-fess-ional. if you ask me.
jk. I'm still not the best ice skater.. but if I keep practicing as often as I have been it won't be long now i'm sure.
Unfortunately my camera died so I didn't really get any pictures but there were lights frozen under this rink and it was SO amazing!

& then we went back home and after we hung out with Blake and the roommates for a while... Shelby and I stayed up talking until 2 in the morning..
[which is good considering Shelb has 745 class...]
But.. the thing I love about rooming with Shelby and college is that even though it's really stressful and lots of work.. I feel like I get to have a sleepover with one of my best friends every night!
:)
I love Shelby and don't know what I'd do without her!
& i know it's past Valentines Day.. but I just wanted to share with you the present I made Blake. :)

& if you're wondering where I get all my crafting skills.. it's definitely from my sweet momma :)
She has some serious creative skills that I have been blessed to grow up with..

She made me this amazing card and sent it to me for Valentines Day.. :) She's always been really good at making holidays really fun and special for me growing up & it's sad not being home for holidays..
i love you mom!

& I think that's all for now.. I hope everyone is having a wonderful Tuesday morning! I miss you all!
Oh and thank you to great friends that are following my blog. You guys are the best & I just adore you all :)

"& It is not how much we do... but how much love we put into that action." -Mother Teresa

How absolutely breath taking is that temple... :)
Thats the Idaho Falls temple and I was blessed in this last couple weeks to get to go inside!
The down stairs of our appartment decided it would be fun to take a temple trip one Saturday and to spend the night just as girls.. & it ended up being so fun!

These are the cute girls that I got to go with! They are all SO sweet.. I just want to say that I got pretty lucky with who I've been rooming with the last little while we all get along really well.

No girls day out.. good trip to Idaho Falls.. would be complete with out a quick stop at Great Harvest Bread to get some awesome free bread...

Thennnn we stopped at Shelby's house where her parents made us a delicious dinner.. [can I just say how unbelievably grateful I have become for parents, and beautiful homes, and home cooked meals by mothers ever since I began college]
& we got to do mud masks which was really exciting because I hadn't really done them before! & to make it better Shelby works at kind of a health store so she had some pretty awesome [face hardening] stuff..

I know that we look like we are making very serious faces.. but it was impossible to smile with those things on! ha trust me we definitely tried!
After our faces felt absolutely clean and beautiful... we got to snack on popcorn and watched my favorite movie in the world... the Guardian!
I love girls nights. :)
Then the next day [[Sunday]] happened to be the Super Bowl! :)
Thats always a fun Sunday at my house, and I was pretty bummed to not be home for the Super Bowl for the first time of my life...
So Blakes sweet family cheered me up and brought me over to their aunt and uncles house for a Second Thanksgiving/Super Bowl Party!
I ate until I felt like I was going to burst.. [& as a college student thats a wonderful experience if I might say so myself.]
Then we played games and had snacks and just laughed and talked the rest of the night...
now did we watch the game.. probably not so much.. ha but I WILL say..
Dangit Packers. Dangit.
The way my Dad has raised me ended up not having me cheering for the winning team... :)

Then this last weekend.. we got to take a little trip to Lava Hot Springs!!
Now can you see anyone in these pictures.. um... no.. not really ha
bad pictures. but good memories.

The hot springs are always a really relaxing place to go I love them.. & during the winter they are definitely one of favorite places to spend a night.

After soaking in the very warm water until we were gross and pruned, we made a short pit stop at this cute little cabin.. and then to Denny's for a late night/early morning dinner..
It was fun night adventure..

&& our more recent, most important, and last order of business...
 Happy {belated} Valentines Day! :)
I'll just say it was a pretty nice one.. I'll have to post what I made Blake in my next blog when he lets me steal it back for a minute to get a picture!

Ohhh... and I almost forgot.. something I thought was recently 'blog worthy'
today we salute you [in my best most deep radio voice]... Miss Statue of Liberty Dancing Tax Lady...
for all of the days that I drive by you in the freezing cold and you are still out there smiling and waving and dancing your heart out.. you have more dedication to your job than I might ever have.. & therefore deserve a special place in my blog.

:)
I hope everyone is doing well & had a wonderful Valentines Day/Weekend!

We're going on a... Road Trip! :)

So who is the greatest person of the week?! The award definitely goes to... Kolban Scott.. :)
Kolban calls Blake last Tuesday and asks him if we would want tickets for the Jazz vs. Spurs game on Wednesday night in Salt Lake...
um YES! pleasse!
Kolban not only gave Blake, Danielle, and I realllly awesome tickets to the game.. but he even drove us down there!
Talk about a nice guy..

I have to say, it definitely turned out to be a pretty fun Wednesday afternoon/night!

& to even make things better.. we got to the game early so the ushers let us on to the Jazz court! We were like not even 10 feet away from the ESPN news man... awesome? Um.. yess... very awesome :)

& I have to say I was pretty darn grateful to have Danielle there!
[side story- I had really wanted her to come and Blake lied to me ((in order to suprise me)) telling me Kolban had already given the ticket away so she wouldn't be able to. Then the afternoon of the game he drove over to her appartment telling me we had to take her to Idaho Falls for the night.. and then they suprised me and FINALLY came clean and told me she was coming with us once we got to Kolbans house in Idaho Falls! Yayyy! I even forgave them for lying to me for 30 minutes.. I was so excited. ]
Even though the Spurs ended up losing (by not tooo much) it was a really fun road trip!!
[ more succesful than mine and Blakes last road trip... huh Blake ;) jk]

So.. then life back in Rexburg... has been REALLY warm. This would be this mornings temperature..

yeah.. you might say to yourself "no this is a funny joke, hailey's being over dramatic like usual" but I tell you, no this is real! I ask myself if thats what happening every morning when I wake up.. and then I realize no.. this is my life! ha now read to yourself the part that says it feels like -32 degrees.. negative!
I've been voting we move BYU Idaho to.. Arizona.. or Panama.. or.. I don't know.. the Bahamas! But so far it doesn't seem like anyone has acknowledged my ideas.. because we're still here! :)
But there is good news..

Lucky for me.. I have an amazing Grandma! She made all of those scarfs, hats, gloves, and head bands for me! How incredible is that. :) I got the white gloves and scarf in a package last week, and can't tell you how perfect of a gift that was for where I am living right now! I wear them every time I even have to get in my car to drive anywhere.. Thank you Grandma! I love you!
I also don't think anyone realizes how much college students lovvve getting packages! Or at least I know it makes my day..

For those of you who don't.. this is my beautiful baby plant.. Princess Tiger Lily.. :)
I love her.
& for those of you care.. she has not been doing so good! I left her under our heater in our bedroom and didn't realize it was probably drying her out until her leaves started falling off! So I recently repotted her and she has been relocated..
But if anyone has any plant advice.. I would lovve to hear it right now!
I've been in emergency save plant mode the last couple weeks..

& who is the cute nurse may you ask?! oh yes.. its just my fabulous roommate shelby!! haha we've had a lot of opportunities to play doctor lately [or more correctly play "nurse"] in preparation for Shelby's tests. She's doing so good in her classes! She's pretty much a professional... (& I've been getting pretty good at playing the sick patient.. if I might say so myself)
In the last couple years we've had to figure out how to make homework fun.. :)

But... I hope its warmer for everyone where ever you are! I miss and love you all! Hope you're having an amazing first week of February!
